Visibility IV / V
In the evening, the Aurora App was checked and it showed a red kp and that the BZ had gone to -20. The CME had therefore struck 12 hours earlier than expected.
Cameras ready and waiting for darkness.
Around 21:00 I went outside and noticed the Bright Ray directly above and that's when it got busy. Suddenly somewhere on the dark beach to film, even the cats got scared when I ran around the house taking things to the car.
Gasoline at the bottom to the shooting location and from there a running leg to the lakeshore. Then there, filming for an hour. I left for a while to pick up the hostess to film when she got off work. The northern lights were at their best around 23:00 - 23:30. The really active arches and the corona opening were also nicely visible.
