Visibility V / V

Ben Kalland, Ursa (Helsinki)

Sunspot 3038. Sunny weather, of course, favors description but heat usually means poor seeing. Using a meter, I found a place on the plot where seeing was good. Steady wind and water surface a few meters away. I reduced the imaging area (ROI) of the sensor, got a faster shooting speed, and in half a minute I got a couple thousand images of which I stacked a few hundred. With this technique, I got clearly more details visible. My goal is to take a high resolution picture of the whole sun but making a mosaic is so challenging that I try to learn how to get more out of the bigger sensor. Lunt 80 + ASI183MM. Dyed and inverted.

AiryLab solar scintillation monitor SSM.
