Spectacular, broad and long-lasting play, mediocre in brightness, lazy in movements (easier to describe). But definitely the best of autumn so far.

For southern auroras, this was a reasonably large show, but lazy, this didn't really get going at any point during my observation, apart from a few brightenings and small activations of radial arcs. The interesting details in the show were the green diffuse spots seen in the west and east, they were separate from other aurora forms, the spots were not pulsating. Unfortunately, the clouds were interfering a little with the observation.

Modest, but with image processing, the arc of the moon brought out a little better.

My standard observation spot is a milk truck passing by in the wee hours of the night with its bright lights. On a foggy night, its passing created a beautiful sight in the fog.

There was more than enough fog in the field, the planned observations were not made, but luckily the northern lights came for a moment to delight the night wanderer. Even the repos are modestly visible through the fog, but something.

About 2.5 hours of observation and filming. I saw more than 30 cluster shooting stars and a couple of sporadic ones. I shot during the night with two frames, 13 shooting stars stuck to their cells. My rough estimate is that the maximum night lacked really bright shooting stars.

Now I'm not 100 sure if there are aurora borealis here, maintenance can remove the observation if necessary. Unfortunately, I only took one frame from that direction, so there is no possibility of comparison. But the conditions of the Aurora Borealis are to the left of the moon, before the cloud rafts.

Observed Perseids for about 1.5 hours, saw a good ten, one brighter, others modest. I got two in the pictures, the "better" one is included in the observation. We'll see what the maximum brings, more shooting stars of course, but hopefully more bright ones.

Night after night the night clouds are more modest, the season is starting to end. These low-lying night clouds in the northwest were just visible with the naked eye,

Gazing at the Perseids and the starry sky for an hour. Three shooting stars in a flock seen with the naked eye and one in a photo that I didn't see myself. The conditions were excellent.

The first northern lights of the season observed in the photos. The first lights were visible in the picture taken at 00:35, in this picture (at 01:20) the reposes of the observation were "at their best". The image has been heavily processed to make the repos better visible.

A few bands low in the northwest. Btw. in that picture, the first aurora borealis that I observed of the season can also be seen very, very weakly, they were only visible in photographs.

Typical late-season night clouds. They were visible between north and northeast, rose to a height of approx. 15 degrees, other clouds disturbed the observation.

Jupiter began to peek out from behind the handsome clouds and was visible for a moment in the rim.

Well, now there were beautiful night clouds. The beginning of these didn't promise anything terrible either, but at two o'clock it started to happen. Then you could see clear shapes, there was also enough brightness and scope. Closer to three in the sky there were already unusual shapes, decorated with a few sharp belts. Definitely the best dish of the summer. The pictures are panoramas, the first picture was taken at 2:05 a.m. and the second at 2:40 a.m.
